    Research & Expertise

    As a researcher, writer, counselor, and instructor, Dr. Luther Smith maintains a dual emphasis on Biblical studies, and Counseling, valuing the link between both disciplines. With respect to Biblical Studies, Dr. Smith focuses on a consistent literal-grammatical historical (and cultural) hermeneutic, underscoring the importance of proper exegesis and exposition of the Scriptures in its immediate and general context. His emphasis considers the interdependence of psychology, sociology, religion, philosophy, ethics, politics, art, and entertainment and how the Bible speaks to each subject. Dr. Smith continues to teach in the classroom and at scholarly meetings and conferences. He is committed to continual research and publication.
